Independence Indoor Shooting exterior 2

Independence Indoor Shooting opened in May at 2749 E. Gala St. in Meridian, near the southwest corner of Overland and Eagle roads.

Representatives from the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance will speak on the topic of gun rights at 6 p.m. tonight at Independence Indoor Shooting in Meridian.

Tommy Ahlquist, who is running for Idaho governor, will also speak at the free event.

Attendees are asked to RSVP at iishooting.com. Seating is limited to the first 200 guests, and light snacks will be provided.

The event was planned before the Las Vegas shooting, but that tragedy may have caused people to wonder how their gun rights might be affected, said Rick Casner, academy director at the shooting range. Questions along those lines will be addressed tonight, he said.

Seth Rosquist and Zach Brooks from the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance will speak, followed by a presentation by Ahlquist and a question-and-answer period.

Independence Indoor Shooting is near the corner of Eagle and Overland roads at 2749 E. Gala Court in Meridian.
