The city is accepting applications to fill three seats on the Meridian Arts Commission.

The arts commission advises the mayor and City Council on arts and cultural policies and promotes public awareness and participation in the arts, according to a city press release.

Each seat carries a three-year term that will run through February 2021. Meetings are held at 3:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Meridian City Hall.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have an interest in the arts. Candidates will be appointed by Mayor Tammy de Weerd and confirmed by City Council.

Applications are available at or at Meridian City Hall. Applicants must submit a letter of interest and resume to Mayor Tammy de Weerd at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave., Meridian, Idaho, 83642. All information should be received by Feb. 9.
