Submitted Facebook Twitter Email Print Save A new event will debut this week in downtown Meridian that could become a weekly draw.The first Cruise Night through downtown is planned for 5-7 p.m. Feb. 16, starting at Main Street and Broadway Avenue.The event organizer, John Forsberg, said there has been talk of doing an event like this for years. It’s reminiscent of decades past when car enthusiasts would cruise up and down the road and chat about their cars, he said. The plan is to make this a regular event every Friday night, if weather permits, Forsberg said.Here are some of the other events planned for downtown MeridianLIVE MUSICPotter’s Tea House, 917 N. Main St., will have live music by Kayleigh Jack from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 16.Deja Brew Laugh A Latte, 112 E. Idaho Ave., will also have live music by Gravity Rising from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Feb. 16.Deja Brew has musical performances scheduled for the evenings of Feb. 17, 20, 23, 24, and 28.AUDITIONTreasure Valley Children’s Theater will hold auditions for the 2018 Adult Acting Company on Feb. 25 by appointment.
