Milo is a 6-year-old gentleman who is looking to spend forever with the right family. He was surrendered to the Meridian Canine Rescue because he did not do well with young children in the home, so we are looking for a more mature household at this time.
Milo is friendly and social toward adults, and he bonds to his person quickly. We suspect that he could live with older children (12 and up) who would respect his boundaries.
Milo is house- and crate-trained, and he walks well on leash. Here in this environment, he’s been non-reactive to other dogs, but we don’t have any history on him ever living in a home with another dog.
Before he was surrendered to us, Milo stayed at another shelter in Idaho. And before that, he was picked up as a stray in Sacramento and taken to the Front Street Animal Shelter. If anyone deserves another chance at a forever home, it’s this sweet, calm and loving guy.
The Meridian Canine Rescue, 501 E. Scenery Lane, is open between 12-7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The rescue’s phone number is 208-794-0944.
