The two are close and will only be adopted out as pair. Submitted by the Meridian Canine Rescue Ellie and Loki are each 1 year old and are best friends forever. Ellie, a long-haired female, and Loki, a short-haired male, are full of love. Both dogs are fixed and house trained, and they both get along well with children of all ages, dogs, cats and other animals. Ellie and Loki previously lived in a home with children, so we’d love to see them adopted by a family again. × Advertisement Of the two, Loki is the more energetic and outgoing — he’ll be the first to greet you. Ellie follows his lead when it comes to meeting new people, but she calls the shots when it’s mealtime.Ellie and Loki are a bonded pair, which means they will only be adopted out together. We’d hate to split up these two buddies. Besides, why adopt one dog when you can adopt two? Visitors are welcome to meet Ellie and Loki at the Meridian Canine Rescue at 501 E. Scenery Lane between 12 and 7 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
