Crafty Critters club takes part in Meridian Dairy Days Submitted by Shay Johnson, Crafty Critters 4-H Jul 17, 2017 (…) The Crafty Critters 4-H Club mans a float during the Real Dairy Parade during Meridian Dairy Days on June 23. Submitted by Shay Johnson Members of the Crafty Critters 4-H Club competed in the Dairy Princess Pageant in June, including Saydee Henning (second from left), Nani McKague (third from left), Shay Johnson (fourth from left) and Kyleigh Davis (center), who was crowed the Junior Dairy Princess. Submitted by Shay Johnson Each June, the Crafty Critters 4-H Club participates in Meridian Dairy Days, often running an exhibit called Old MacDonald's Farm.This year, our club had six types of animals: two sheep, two calves, two pigs, two goats, two chickens and a rabbit. Old MacDonald’s Farm was chaired by Olivia Sells and held in the merchant barn, where club members handed out dairy information and put on activities for kids.The Crafty Critters Club also took part in the Meridian Real Dairy Parade. In celebration of the dairy industry, we had a float called Dairy “Moooves” America. We took fourth place in the parade.Some of the Crafty Critters members competed in the Dairy Princess Pageant and participated in the parade as a pageant contestant. This year's junior winner, Kyleigh Davis, is an active member of the Crafty Critters 4-H Club.
