Electronic/Signal Technician Applications are now being accepted for an Electronic/Signal Technician in the Traffic Operations Division. Starting wage is $17.83 - $20.50 per hour, DOQ. Primary Responsibilities: * The Electronic Technician performs technical duties associated with the installation, maintenance and line location of traffic signal equipment. * The duties include: install, maintain and repair various units for traffic control; consult and advise representatives of public utilities to coordinate maintenance and operations of traffic signal and lighting systems; locate and mark underground signal facilities for utilities and construction projects; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with utility representatives, the general public, and other district employees; assure completion of all documentation of daily activities as required. * Subject to 24-hour emergency on-call duty for a 7-day week on a rotating schedule. Qualifications: * Requires an active Idaho Journeyman Electrical License. * Requires good knowledge of electronic digital computers, micro processors, peripheral equipment and logic circuits. * Experience in the field of electronics including work with traffic controllers, data communication equipment, logic processing equipment, installing and maintaining electrical systems, and troubleshooting electronics is desired. * Required to obtain an Idaho Class �B� CDL driver�s license within 90 days of hire.
