The 2 Buck Challenge

Why buy Local?

For every $100 spent in a local business, $68 stays in the economy. Not only do local businesses employ more people directly per dollar of revenue, they also are the customers of local printers, accountants, wholesalers, farms, attorneys, etc., thus expanding the opportunities for local entrepreneurs and making that local dollar work even harder.

By shopping local you are suppporting schools, police and fire departments. Most of the money you spend goes right back into the local economy.

Local businesses create two of every three new net private-sector jobs in the US, thus your local purchases are helping to create jobs.

We understand the value of local business and we know you do as well, which is why we know you'll help us make this challenge a success!

How does it work?

Just commit to spending $100 of your holiday shopping budget locally, in the form of $2 bills. You can get your bills at D.L. Evans bank or your financial institution. By using the $2 bills, you show the merchant that you are part of this challenge.

By completing this entry form I accept the 2 Buck Challenge to invest at least $100 of my holiday shopping budget locally instead of outside of the area. I agree to invest my $100 locally between November 5th through December 25th 2016. I understand that my name and city of residence will be published in the newspaper and online.
